Muchas de las preguntas que me hacen tiene que ver con esta palabrita mágica, “Ganancia”, creo que todo nuestro emprendimiento gira en torno a ella, si ella, no hay negocio, simple.
Pero un error en el que podemos caer fácilmente es confundir que ventas es lo mismo que ganancia, y no es así.
Debes tener claro, que las ventas son de donde provienen los ingresos del negocio, para llegar de aquí a conocer nuestras ganancias reales, hay que sacar otros numeritos.
No te preocupes, que es muy simple;
#1. Conocer bien cuáles son tus costos de venta o costos de producción.
Estos costos son los costos que incurres cada vez que vendas un producto o servicio.
Si eres una persona que vende camisetas personalizadas, digamos que tus costos podrían ser:
- T-shirt…………………………………..$7.50
- Material de serigrafía…..……………..$2.50
- Entrega a domicilio……………………$3.00
- TOTAL DE COSTOS…………………$13.00
Puedes usar el ejemplo guía para sacar tus propios costos de venta. *Recuerda estos no son tus costos fijos mensuales, los costos de venta o producción estrictamente tienen que ver con la venta de un producto o servicio.
#2. ¿Cuánto quieres ganar?
Ahora bien, una vez, conoces cuales son tus costos de venta, puedes decidir cuánto te vas a ganar por cada venta de tu producto o servicio.
Este es el punto donde tienes que tomar en consideración, el precio del mercado en el que estás y la rentabilidad que ganarás por cada venta.
¿Todos queremos que nuestro negocio sea rentable, cierto? Es recomendable para que una venta sea rentable, que mínimo te ganes un 30%. Siempre puede ser más, siempre y cuando el precio final siga siendo competitivo en tu mercado.
Sigamos con el ejemplo de arriba.
Venta de T-shirt, en donde he estipulado ganarme un $8.00 por cada venta.
- Mis costos totales son: $13.00
- De cada T-shirt quiero tener una ganancia de: $8.00
- Precio final: Mis costos totales + ganancia= $21.00
- Rentabilidad: 38%
Tu ganancia real de cada venta sería de $8.00, no $21.00 recuerda que dentro del precio de $21.00 entran tus costos de venta.
Importante, ¿Qué hago con esa ganancia? Va a los fondos de la empresa de donde se deben pagar todos tus gastos fijos, que son ejemplo:
- Salarios
- Electricidad
- Internet
- Viáticos
- Alquiler de local
- Inversiones
- Publicidad
- Etc.
Tu meta debe ser que el negocio haga la suficiente ganancia para autosostenerse y que llegue a ser rentable, muchas veces esto no se logra de la noche a la mañana, y menos cuando estás empezando, porque claro, al iniciar requieres mucha inversión para tratar de tener lo necesario para operar el negocio. Pero debes poder al menos proyectar desde que momento podrás empezar a generar ganancia.
Mi conclusión para reflexionar y hacer los cambios que necesitas empezar hacer hoy mismo.
- Puede que vendas mucho, pero no ganas mucho.
- Puede que tus ventas estén por las nubes, pero así mismo están tus costos.
- Recuerda llevar un registro de todo, ir comparando y monitoreando tus avances.
